Abdul Qadir Ropari

Abdul Qadir Ropari is a graduate student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of New Mexico, specializing in water treatment processes. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering from the Institute of Space Technology in Islamabad, Pakistan, where he developed biomaterials for skin regeneration, orthopedic implants, and ocular applications. This experience laid the groundwork for his current focus on using biomaterials in water treatment technologies. As President of the American Chemical Society (ACS) International Student Chapter, he led the chapter to earn the Outstanding Chapter Award and was also recently selected for the Leadership Development Award. Beyond academics, Abdul enjoys hiking and playing cricket. He is actively involved in community service, including volunteering at the Cancer Care Hospital, Lahore, and participating in flood relief efforts in Pakistan.
